The Side Swipe
This down, short wedding hairstyle is sophistication swept back surprise. When you want to keep your hair down but out of your face and with some pretty sparkle, this is a look you will wan to pin. Plus, consider turning this into an up-do for the reception.
Start by adding texture to the hair by creating a S wave with a flat iron.
Alternate directions and smooth some pieces for an undone, textured look.
Choose the side you want to be swept back and start combing behind the ear.
Pin in place with bobby pins.
Start adding combs, pins, and barrettes to dress up the effortless look.
We love the idea of layer a couple coordinating pieces for a head-turning ‘do.
Add texturizing spray and pull apart pieces around the un-swept side of the head to complete the look.
Simple and oh-so-pretty!
Flirty French Twist
Is there anything more classic than a french twist hairstyle? This look is perfect for short hair girls and so easy to do! Popular through the early 70s, we give this style a cool update for the modern bride.
Start with textured hair, running hands through to smooth out any tangles.
Gather hair as if you are creating a ponytail, starting to twist at the base.
Continue to twist the hair upwards until it turns into itself, pinning at the base
Once your twist is secure with bobby pins, pull some stray hairs along the frame of the head for that pretty-messy feel.
Start adding hair accessories to decorate this twist! From fresh pearl pins to crystal combs, layer on an assortmetn
Pearl pins are IN. Use various sizes to create a cool scattered effect.
A fresh take on timeless!
Sparkle Explosion
Who else loves serious sparkle? It can’t be just us! With headpieces so pretty, we struggle to choose just one favorite to incorporate into short wedding hairstyles. This technique works on any short hair length, requiring some simple twists and as many hair accessories as you’d like.
Part and style hair to the desired side and texture.
Gather small sections of hair, twist slightly and pin in the middle.
Continue down the length of the hair leaving a few inches of hair free pinning in the middle along the way.
Begin adding the sparkle!
Lay pins and clips down the center of the hair, arranging so the lengths and widths of the accessories are balanced.
For added support and sparkle, finish with crystal bobby pins at the base. Gently lift the roots for some volume at the front and sides.
